Brad and Holly Watson are the tireless, visionary resident owners and operators of Pinantan Lake Resort. Purchasing the property in May 2001, they immediately set about the arduous task of making extensive repairs and improvements to cabins, rv park and the buildings housing amenities. The extensive forested property and beautiful grounds are improved upon yearly as Brad and Holly’s vision for their resort paradise continues to evolve.

The Watson’s enthusiasm for their resort hasn’t waned throughout the years. They have a love of the land and have bonded with the property in a very evident way. Holly explains that their energy comes from the area’s beautiful surroundings, because as she puts it she lives “on Golden Pond” and Brad gets to live the “life of Riley”.

Upon arrival at the resort you’re usually greeted by a warm welcome from Holly. It’s very apparent that she’s a people person, and when you combine that with a professional efficiency, it’s no wonder that the resort keeps drawing guests back year after year. And while the family feel is enveloping and comforting, there’s never an overstepping of guest privacy.

Next comes a short tour of the resort grounds before heading off to your well considered “home” for the duration of your visit. She guides you to the front of their wood construction lake home and office to present you to the vast grassy expanse resting before the natural beach and lake.  Already mouths are agape after a short intake of breath at the beauty of the lake and surrounding views. Vacation excitement is stirred as you immediately realize you’ve come to the exact right place. Holly explains that the great lawns (yes, there’s more than one) are used for badminton, volleyball, 3 hole golf, croquet, Frisbee toss, and general play and relaxation. Many of the cabins and the rv park overlook this green span and beach so kids at play are easily just a glance away.

Now to mention a very important fact – Brad is ardently protective of his guest’s privacy and their need for security and relaxation. The entire resort is surrounded by a mostly invisible fence hidden amongst the dense foliage that encompasses the property. He’s ever vigilant at ensuring that registered guests only are allowed on the entire resort grounds and to this vigilance is owed the sense of peace and freedom that parents and grandparents feel. An oft heard guest comment is that their stay at Pinantan Lake Resort was the first and only time they were able to truly relax and feel at ease with the kids. It’s rare that a resort will not open their grounds to extensive day use for picnicking and swimming, but not here.

For those of you who visited the resort in the pre-Watson years, an invitation is extended to come back and experience. They’re sure you’ll become part of the ever expanding Pinantan Lake Resort family.

Oh and if you’re interested, ask Holly about her eco-friendly initiatives.
